Lamucca Organic Parriya
We experienced a delicious meal and had such a great time at lamucca
So a group of us decided to meet up in the centre of Madrid recently, the 21st of April 2022 to be precise, and the designated foodie among us chose this restaurant, Lamucca Organik Parriya located on Calle Fuencarral, and oh my was it worth it. From start to finish it was a great experience, and I want to share this with you all in case you are thinking of visiting this restaurant too.
The restaurant is situated in the heart of Madrid and its main draw is that all of the food on offer is organic and sourced sustainably. They also have plenty of Vegan and Non Vegan options.
«We will be ecological, whenever we can and, when we cannot, we will be logical».
Before even entering the restaurant, another cool thing is it is in front of a beautiful church, Iglesia De Las Religiosas De María Inmaculada Casa Madre, and they have outside seating for the warmer days, or if you just want to sit and enjoy one of their cocktails.
First Impressions Arriving At Lamucca
I arrived there 10 minutes after our reserved time, which was 8pm, and was immediately greeted by a very happy young lady who looked up from what she was doing and attended to me straight away. A couple of the group were already there, and she let me know this and took me to where our table was, and on the way pointed out where the bathrooms were, and I really liked that small attention to detail.
I was already struck by the amazing bar that takes centre stage when you enter Lamucca. The first thing that draws your attention are the beer taps. They are many in a row, and are all made from copper. It really shines and stands out and gives you an instant feeling of a really classy place that pays attention to the customer experience.
The walls are also decorated in a really cool way as you can see in some of the photos. I really cannot think of an artsy way to describe it so, best to see it for yourself I thought
So after being seated, I ordered a whisky, which I must point out didn’t come in just any glass, but a really pretty crystal tumbler, another point here for the attention to detail at this restaurant.
The Menu At Lamucca Restaurant
The menu had a variety of mouthwatering and delicious starters that would appeal to everyone. I ordered the roasted artichokes sprinkled with crispy ham, there were also a couple of orders of the ¨Selection of tomato¨ salads, and the Burrata Artesana de La Puglia, an amazing fresh white cheese ball that came with sun-dried tomatoes bursting with flavor, a drizzle of pesto, arugula and a sprinkle of Pistachios.
The starters just vanished in a matter of moments after we all had a taste, you can really tell the tomatoes are of a much higher quality than you get at your average store, the odor was so strong, and the roasted artichokes were crispy and soft all at the same time, and the Burrata was just something else.
I really wanted to try the roasted cauliflower with the curry yogurt, but this will have to wait until my next visit.
What We Ordered For Mains At Lamucca
The main course was a 1kg Ayrshire Steak ¨Chuleton Suprema De Vaca Finlandesa¨, which came on a sizzling hot cast iron plate with a side of roasted sweet potatoes and courgettes. And we got two orders of their 40 day matured steak which also came sizzling on a hot plate and had the same side of roasted vegetables and sweet potato.
We ordered the meat medium rare, and it came cooked to absolute perfection. A thin crispy crust, and a perfect pinkish, reddish inside. I cannot tell you which one was better, because both of these meats were to die for, and you can really taste the char and smoke coming from the charcoal grill they use to cook everything here.
Everything we ate was fresh and well prepared, and you can really tell they use the best ingredients here at Lamucca to produce these really tasty dishes. The restaurant also offers a really cool cocktail menu if you are looking to stick around after your meal, but we never tried any of the cocktails, so I cannot speak on them.
Normally with such great food, a great ambience and vibe you tend to find a fault in the service, but the staff were all really attentive, and we were ordering quite a few drinks and they came around really frequently, so I can’t say a bad word about the service either.
Other Noteworthy Things About Lamucca Reataurant
The bathrooms were also really clean and I really loved the giant sink and the wheel used as a tap handle. Always good to see the service areas being tended to.
They do also offer a Menu of the day which we inquired about, and this is a selection of meat and vegetables cooled on their charcoal grill, but this is available between 1 and 4 pm, and costs a very reasonable 19 euros per head.
I really do highly recommend this restaurant, the food is delicious and it has a really cool vibe. If there is something I can point to, it is that it is a little expensive, slightly more than what I am used to, and we paid close to 50 euros per head, but we did drink quite a bit so I wouldn’t let that put off visiting Lamucca.
All in all, a restaurant you really should visit if you like grilled, high quality food, and if you are also looking specifically for an organic restaurant when in Madrid.
