If you have a layover, or you have a long time to wait to catch a flight, this is the best option if you need luggage storage at Madrid airport.

Thankfully Madrid is a really busy city for travelers, so there are many luggage storage companies to choose from, and this makes the prices more competitive, a win for us. I will give you a few of the best options to choose from and a little bit about each of them.

If you are looking for luggage storage in a rush, it may be a little more difficult, but you will almost always find something. If you know you will be needing to store your luggage before you travel, you should always reserve a locker in advance. Check at the time of booking as most companies allow you to cancel your booking free if done before a certain period of time.

You can trust this company when looking for places to store luggage in Madrid. Luggage hero is a really popular storage service in Madrid. The have secure storage facilities where you can store your luggage for as long as you need. They have several locations in madrid including Atocha Train Station, Puerta del Sol and Chamartin Train Station. Prices start from €1 per hour or €8 a day per bag and they insure bags up to €2,500 leaving you with peace of mind.

There are a few options of luggage storage at Atocha station. You can use the stations facilities, or use the one of the private luggage storage companies. These are the options:

  • Luggage Lockers at Atocha: You will find the luggage lockers on the ground floor of the station close to the entrance to the Renfe Cercanias platforms. Ty are available 24/7 and come in various sizes. Prices range from €3 to €5 for small lockers, €5 to €7 for medium lockers, and €7 to €10 for large lockers per 24 hours of storage.
  • Left Luggage Office at Atocha: The left luggage office is located near the high speed train platforms. It is open daily from 7am to 11pm (not 24/7) and have a secure storage facility. The price is €6 per item for the first 24 hours, then €10 a day thereafter. 
  • Private Luggage Storage Atocha: There are many companies around Madrid, but the closest private luggage storage to Atocha is going to be either Stow Your Bags or Luggage Hero. They are open from 7am to 11pm, and prices start from just €1.99 a locker.
